Putting Christmas back in its box.

Over the past two days we have been busy taking down our Christmas decorations and dismantling our very loved Christmas tree. This year we decided not to take down our decorations in an end of term haste, before driving to catch a ferry…as we normally do! We instead, wanted to make the most of all of the real life experiences your children had over their Christmas holidays. All of the anticipated fun had been experienced and presents had been opened and we wanted to make the most of any quality talk opportunities. Your children’s memories of their Christmas holidays were at the forefront of their minds. The conversations had while taking down the Christmas tree and placing the baubles back in their box were fantastic.
Trying to take down the star from the top of the tree made for an excellent problem solving activity, as did unravelling the silver ball string!
Archie declared, when all the decorations were put away…’’Wow, it’s all ready for next years otters now isn’t it. They are so lucky!’’
